Impulses from practice

Sarah Lüngen, the Changency
The Berlin-based sustainability consultancy The Changency works nationwide on solutions for greater sustainability in culture and events—including in the area of sustainable mobility.
In her keynote speech, co-founder and managing director Sarah Lüngen will show which levers cultural institutions can use to positively influence the mobility behavior of their audiences. Using concrete practical examples, she will illustrate how creative travel options, targeted communication, and the use of data analysis contribute to measurably more climate-friendly event attendance.

Dr. Harriet Oelers, Dortmund Concert Hall
Dr. Harriet Oelers provides insights into the mobility work of the Dortmund Concert Hall. She explains how a mobility app was used to track audience journeys and actively involve visitors in this process. She also presents the “Sustainable Ways to Culture” project by the Green Culture Dortmund initiative, which developed new approaches and ideas for environmentally friendly travel to cultural events. In doing so, she highlights how cultural institutions can take the first steps toward climate-friendly visitor mobility even with limited resources.
