Municipal? Digital!, the ideas competition organized by the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, has successfully demonstrated how digital and sustainable projects can advance Bavarian cities and municipalities. Ten Bavarian municipalities received around four million euros in funding to implement innovative smart city and smart region ideas in the areas of climate resilience, resource efficiency and citizen participation.
The project entered a transfer phase in May 2025 so that the solutions from Kommunal? Digital! will benefit as many municipalities as possible.
As a municipality, you can benefit from the experience of these lighthouse projects! On the Kommunal? Digital! website you will find short videos and informative profiles of the individual projects and can contact the respective municipalities directly.
