From January 2024, the Mechatronics & Automation cluster will have a new head in the new funding period of the Bavarian Cluster Offensive: Dr. Andreas Hackner. After 22 years in cluster management within Bayern Innovativ, his predecessor, Heiko Bartschat, is taking over as Head of the Clusters and Networks office.
Dr. Andreas Hackner has been part of the Bayern Innovativ team since 2021 and previously worked in the Augsburg AI Production Network. "We are facing exciting challenges and opportunities in a constantly changing industrial landscape. I am convinced that the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster can make an important contribution to ensuring that companies can look to the future with optimism," says the doctor of economics, looking forward to his new role.
His predecessor is remaining loyal to the cluster's work and is taking on a new role. "We want to support and closely link the clusters and networks in the Bavarian innovation landscape. In the spirit of mechatronics, we will think and tackle megatopics such as digitalization and sustainability across clusters and networks. What appeals to me about the new role is that I can profitably apply experience from my many years of cluster work in the relevant areas and thus support the Bavarian economy across all sectors," says Heiko Bartschat, explaining his motivation. "I wish Andreas and his team in cluster management a good start and lots of fun with 'clustering'. With new ideas, they will certainly continue to create valuable offers for cluster partners and all stakeholders who are interested in our innovative topics and the associated expertise and know how to use the connections in a sustainable network."
