AI, communication networks and cyber security

We would like to draw your attention today to the funding announcements "Artificial Intelligence - Data Science", "Communication Networks of the Future" and "Cyber Security" planned for 2026.

The announcements are to be carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Bavarian Joint Research Programme (BayVFP) of the StMWi in the funding line Digitization in the funding area "Information and Communication Technology".
Here you will find the pre-announcements with the topics of the planned announcements:

• Cybersecurity

Please also note the advance notice for the announcement "Electronic systems and process technologies" in the funding area "Electronic systems".
The details of the funding requirements will be set out in the guidelines applicable at the time of publication of the funding calls. The current version of the guidelines for the implementation of the "Bavarian Collaborative Research Program (BayVFP)" expires on 31.12.2025. The final announcements will be published once the new version of the guidelines has been established. The project management organization will then promptly provide further details on the expiry and submission deadline on IUK Announcements and via this newsletter - probably in spring 2026.
