InSum Interior Hub

In November 2020, the German government decided to set up a "Future Fund for the Automotive Industry" to provide support for the medium- and long-term challenges facing the automotive industry in the transformation process. A central component is the establishment of so-called transformation hubs for the automotive industry, which operate throughout Germany and cover various key topics. The funding measures are set to run until June 2025. Bayern Innovativ is involved in three transformation hubs as a partner.

InSuM - Interior Hub
  • Total project volume: 3,635,498
  • Total funding volume: 3,504,295

Description:

In the InSuM - Interior Hub for Sustainable Mobility project, megatrends such as autonomous driving, connected cars, and shared mobility are analyzed with regard to the vehicle interiors of the future in order to subsequently accelerate the transfer of knowledge to the automotive industry. The aim of the hub is to network suitable research and industry partners nationwide, to initiate innovative research and development projects and, as a result, to expand value creation in the growth field of interiors in Germany. The focus is on sustainable innovations, which the hub aims to make usable with its activities, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
