InSum Interior Hub

In November 2020, the German government decided to set up a "Future Fund for the Automotive Industry" to support the medium and long-term challenges facing the automotive industry in the transformation process. A central component is the establishment of so-called transformation hubs for the automotive industry, which are active throughout Germany and cover various key topics. The funding measures are set to run until December 2026. Bayern Innovativ is involved in three transformation hubs as a partner.

Description:

The InSuM - Interior-Hub for Sustainable Mobility project analyzes megatrends such as autonomous driving, connected cars and shared mobility with regard to the vehicle interior of the future in order to subsequently accelerate the transfer of knowledge to the automotive industry. The aim of the hub is to network suitable research and industry partners across Germany, initiate innovative research and development projects and, as a result, expand value creation in the growth area of interiors in Germany. The focus is on sustainable innovations, which the hub aims to make available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular through its activities.
