E-scooters for the last mile - what's the story?

Traffic volumes in urban traffic areas are increasing rapidly. Can E-scooters offer a way out of the impending traffic collapse?

The current whitepaper "E-Scooters for the last mile - what's the story?" examines how intermodality has changed since the Small Electric Vehicle Ordinance (eKFV) came into force in summer 2019. Based on current figures of the e-scooter rental company VOI in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, the potentials of e-scooters were illuminated.

Result: e-scooters are used in particular to bridge short distances as "first & last mile mobility".
