Married to the company?
Head or gut - who has a stronger influence on your decisions at work?
Bastian Härzer: For me, the head is clearly in the foreground. But I have learned to listen to my gut as well - The combination of both works great for me.
Self-employed people are often said to be "married to your company"? How is that with you - Do you have enough time for private things?
Bastian Härzer: Working a lot has always been part of my life. Times with 60 hours per week and more are but definitely the exception. Sport is very important to me, and I create daily free space for it. Surely my family would also like more from me now and then, but I think I get the balancing act well.
With which hobbies or leisure activities can you switch off best or reduce professional stress?
Bastian Härzer: Most likely when running in nature, although the pace is secondary. For me, it is rather important to be in the fresh air. But a work-out is also a good balance for me. Since starting the company, I've managed to exercise regularly, since the daily car trips to and from the office have been eliminated. I thus create space for myself to actively reduce stress.
If you had one wish free: What would you wish for your professional future?
Bastian Härzer: I would wish for our business to be successful. A way back into, for example, an employment relationship is currently difficult to imagine. The current situation holds such a large measure of freedom, which has a very high value for me - I hope that this remains so...
We also hope that very much and wish you all the best! Dear Mr. Härzer, thank you very much for your exciting insights and see you next time!
