Advice on environmentally friendly investments

Green Assist is an EU initiative under InvestEU and is funded by the LIFE program. The aim is to build a pipeline for high-impact green investment projects. The projects target natural capital and circular economy sectors as well as other non-environmental areas.

The European Green Deal emphasizes the need to increase technical support for high-impact green investment projects. The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has therefore launched the Green Advisory Service for Sustainable Investments Support (Green Assist).Green Assist is an EU initiative under InvestEU and is funded by the LIFE program. The aim is to build a pipeline for high-impact green investment projects. The projects target natural capital and circular economy sectors as well as other non-environmental sectors.

Specifically, Green Assist offers two types of advisory services:

1. To support a "project", i.e. a specific investment - regardless of whether it is well-defined in terms of capital expenditure and location, and
2. for general inquiries that are not related to a specific investment, such as cross-cutting studies or capacity building.

Applications can be submitted via the "InvestEU Advisory Hub". A job aid for applicants explains the application process. In addition, a checklist is available to assess whether the capital investment is eligible for funding under Green Assist.
