The EU Commission has adopted the support package for farmers in the EU of 330 million euros presented in June 2023. Farmers from Germany as well as 21 other member states will benefit from this additional financial support. The support package comes at a time when farmers continue to face difficulties, according to the report on EU agricultural markets. EU farmers continue to face input costs above the long-term average, with falling prices for some agricultural products. Furthermore, EU farmers faced variable and difficult weather conditions in the spring, resulting in lower yield rates and poorer quality for several basic agricultural products.
