TUM 1,000+ Project Week 2026: Young talents meet innovative companies in the healthcare sector

14.01.2026

Save the Date: October 2026 - With the TUM 1,000+ Project Week, one of the most successful cooperation formats between science and business is entering the next round. For the fourth time, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is bringing together highly qualified Master's students with companies - including numerous players from the healthcare and medtech sector.

Real challenges, fresh perspectives

During the one-week project week, an interdisciplinary team of five Master's students work on a specific challenge defined by the participating companies. The tasks come directly from practice and range from technological issues and data-driven innovations to strategic topics along the value chain in the healthcare sector.

This gives companies the opportunity to gain new perspectives on current challenges and develop innovative solutions - in a practical, creative and scientifically sound manner.

Direct access to the specialists of tomorrow

A particular added value of the TUM 1,000+ project week is the early contact with highly qualified young talents. The student teams are put together from TUM's entire portfolio of degree programs and are geared towards the technical requirements of the respective challenge.

Companies can not only contribute to the content, but also authentically present their corporate culture and strengthen their visibility as an attractive employer - a decisive factor in the competition for talent, especially in the healthcare sector.

Network building in the TUM community

The project week concludes with a joint final event at the Garching campus, where the results are presented. This is also an opportunity to expand your own network within the TUM community and with other participating companies.

Advantages for companies at a glance

  • Fresh perspective on real challenges in your own company
  • Innovative solutions through interdisciplinary student teams
  • Visibility as an attractive employer at TUM
  • Direct access to highly qualified young academics
  • Sustainable network building in the innovation ecosystem
