Promotion of congresses in Augsburg

The congress initiative of the Free State of Bavaria has been in place in Bavaria since July 2024: the Free State of Bavaria has set up a congress fund of 25 million euros to actively support Bavarian cities and rural areas in the acquisition of conferences and congresses.

Since the beginning of July, the regulations on the number of participants for Augsburg and rural areas have been adjusted.
Funding is now available for closed specialist events, congresses and conferences

that take place by the end of 2029
with at least 200 participants (at least 100 participants in rural areas)
last at least two days
are either fundamentally new in concept or are taking place for the first time again in Bavaria as an established format
