The municipal utility cooperation Trianel now operates a ground-mounted photovoltaic system with an output of 70.4 MW on an area of 48 hectares in Brandenburg.

Hamburg-based solar and storage specialist Greentech has built the largest PV system to date for the Aachen-based company on behalf of Trianel in Wiesenhagen. "The park is located on a privileged area of around 48 hectares along the Berlin-Halle railroad line," the two companies announced. It comprises 100,143 modules from the manufacturer Trina and 178 inverters from Huawei.

The solar plant will be connected via Trianel's own 110 kV transformer station, which was also recently built. This is located in the immediate vicinity of the solar park, so that the necessary cable route runs only around 600 meters outside the park, it is said.

The entire electrical planning was simulated and optimized with "PowerFactory". Power Factory is a software program for calculating electricity grids. This "grid study" in advance made it possible to avoid significant changes after the design freeze as far as possible and to identify necessary measures at an early stage. According to Greentech, this made the certification process easier and unwelcome adjustments after the start of construction could be eliminated.

"With this park, we have now realized ground-mounted systems with a total output of over 165 MW in Brandenburg and can supply more than 51,000 households with climate-friendly electricity every year," explains Andreas Lemke, Head of Solar at Trianel.

This is the 19th plant that Greentech has realized on behalf of Trianel in the past two and a half years. In addition to the project in Wiesenhagen, further joint projects are in the planning stage and are to be implemented over the course of the year.
