The Bavarian electricity storage manufacturer Fenecon receives a syndicated loan of 40 million euros. And has restructured its business.
Fresh capital for Fenecon: The provider of electricity storage and energy management systems can expand its business with 40 million euros. The company, based in Iggensbach in the district of Deggendorf, has announced that it has received a bank loan of this amount. A consortium consisting of Unicredit Commerzbank, Norddeutsche Landesbank, DZ Bank and Sparkasse Deggendorf is behind the financial injection. Fenecon says it intends to invest the money primarily in innovation.
There have also been some changes within the company. Stefan Feilmeier, the previous Head of IT, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Managing Director. Feilmeier says that he sees artificial intelligence as a central approach for the further development of software for electricity storage systems.
The company has only just moved into Iggensbach, where its headquarters have been located in the 2,200-strong community in Lower Bavaria since March 21. Fenecon has also given itself a new structure. Instead of the previous seven "divisions", the storage manufacturer now operates with three "business units": "Home & Commercial, Industrial and Internal Services".
