Energy Atlas of Bavaria: New electricity data for 2024 available in the map section

Bavaria now has well over one million renewable energy installations.

The updated electricity reports for 2024 are now available in the map section of the Energy Atlas of Bavaria. This gives local authorities, companies and citizens an up-to-date overview of the status of the energy transition locally.

The new data is prepared on a plant-specific and regional basis. Users can thus see how individual energy sources have developed in municipalities, districts and administrative districts.

Regional comparisons and profiles

The maps on electricity generation from renewable energies enable regional comparisons between different energy sources. In addition, compact fact sheets in PDF format are available for download in the "Analysis" section for all municipalities, rural districts and administrative districts. These summarize the most important key figures on electricity generation.

Filter and download data

The updated figures can be filtered using the "Data search" function and downloaded for further use. The "Local Bavarian energy mix" mixer has also been adapted accordingly and now shows the current expansion status for 2024.

With this update, the Energy Atlas of Bavaria provides a sound data basis for planning, analysis and communication on the expansion of renewable energies in Bavaria.
