Energy Challenge Germany 2023: German Startups for the Energy Transition in Chile

The Energy Challenge Germany goes into the second round. The kick-off event will take place online on November 03, 2022.

The aim of the competition is to identify interesting energy startups (especially scaleups) in Germany to introduce them to the energy market in Chile and support them in their market development and internationalization. This internationalization program takes place within the framework of the Energy Partnership Chile-Alemania, established in 2019 by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi - now BMWK) and the Chilean Ministry of Energy.

It will focus on the following areas:

• Energy and resource efficiency,
• Intelligent and resilient grids,
• Energy and heat storage,
• Automation and Industry 4.0,
• intelligent electromobility,
• green and blue hydrogen,
• renewable energies,
• efficient information management and optimization,
• life cycle analysis, digital technologies,
• new materials
• as well as innovative business models.
