Funding for AgriTech innovations and partner matchmaking

A new open call for innovative start-ups and SMEs in the agrifood sector has been published as part of the EU GATE5.0 project. The aim is to accelerate the green and digital transformation of European agriculture and promote new technologies along the agrifood value chains.

Funding will be provided in particular for Agriculture 5.0 solutions, such as AI-based analyses, IoT sensor technology, robotics, data-driven decision support and digital platforms for agricultural processes. The projects are intended to address specific challenges in agriculture, such as water management, resource efficiency, productivity or data interoperability.

Characteristics:

• Deadline: April 30, 2026
• Target group: Start-ups and SMEs from the agrifood and digital/tech sector
• Funding: up to 59,250 euros per SME
• Project structure: Consortium of one agrifood SME and one technology SME
• Addition: Participation in the "GATE5.0 Accelerator" with mentoring, training and business support

In order to find suitable project partners, a GATE5.0 matchmaking event is also being organized for the AgriTech community. There, companies can get to know potential partners from the agrifood and technology sector and form consortia for a joint application.
