Subtitle Nine new calls for proposals with a total volume of around 204 million euros have been published as part of the "Digital Europe Program".

The aim is to further accelerate the dissemination and application of innovative digital technologies in companies, public administrations and the healthcare sector. The priorities include artificial intelligence and big data, the expansion of the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs, the introduction of the EU Digital Identity (including mobile driving licenses), digital health solutions, industrial and automotive data and the strengthening of digital skills.

This results in very specific funding opportunities for SMEs and start-ups: For example, projects that drive forward digital business models, use AI in industrial environments or support digital change in internal processes can be funded. Important: The calls for proposals are issued in several tranches - a first call for proposals with, for example, 15 million euros is already open, others with larger volumes will follow in November.
Take the opportunity to reflect on your digital innovation strategy within the company, approach potential partners (e.g. digital innovation hubs) at an early stage and define a project topic with a clear digital component. This is particularly relevant for Bavarian companies with a focus on health technologies, production or mobility.
