Second Cluster Connect annual meeting

27.02.2026

The second annual meeting of the cluster partners of the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster took place in a special location this year: At Dauphin Speed Events, the guests were given a guided tour of Europe's largest collection of classic cars. An impressive start to an inspiring evening.

The keynote speech by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Döpper from the University of Bayreuth was at the heart of the program. In his presentation, he addressed the topic of the embodiment of artificial intelligence and provided insights into the development of intelligent machines and the new business models that are emerging from this. The participants took the opportunity for lively discussions and professional exchanges.

The subsequent networking event also focused on current trends and developments. Another highlight was the humanoid robot by Dr. Sebastian Reitelshöfer from the FAPS chair, which mingled with the guests at the get-together and attracted a lot of attention.
With Cluster Connect, the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster promotes regular exchanges between its partners and offers space for new impetus, cooperation and innovative ideas.
