Review: Kick-off of the AgriTechHUB
The kick-off of the AgriTechHUB took place in Munich on December 15, 2025. An important step for the future of innovation in agricultural technology.
Over 30 participants from industry, research, associations and politics came together to define expectations, needs and common goals. The focus was on innovation, joint dialog and future cooperation.
The welcome address by Hubert Aiwanger, Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, was followed by a presentation of the AgriTechHUB by Dr. Matthias Konrad, Christian Metz and Joseph Schapfl (all Bayern Innovativ GmbH). Impulse talks by Philipp Horsch (HORSCH Maschinen GmbH) and Dr. Tobias Nothdurft (AGCO GmbH) shed light on the transformation of Bavarian agricultural technology.
In the second part, the focus was on the active participation of the guests: after an introduction, the participants discussed the topics "Needs and benefits" and "Setting topics and technologies" in a World Café format. The results clearly showed that the AgriTechHUB should serve as a platform for exchange and cooperation, drive innovation and strengthen the transfer of knowledge between practice, politics and research. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for a common data platform, standardized interfaces and the development of lighthouse projects - from AI-supported image analysis to autonomous field robots and sustainable drive systems.
The event concluded with a summary and an outlook for the next steps: setting up a joint platform, identifying lighthouse projects and intensive dialog with the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The feedback from the participants was consistently positive and underlines the relevance and need for the AgriTechHUB.
