Research cooperation and R&D projects Germany Taiwan

The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) is announcing a funding measure for research and innovation cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) between Germany and Taiwan.

The aim is to promote high-quality projects that enable a sustainable partnership and strengthen the transfer of knowledge between science and industry.

There are two funding lines:

• Line A: pure research collaborations between scientific partners
• Line B: Research and development projects involving scientific and business partners

Topics include decentralized AI / edge AI, hybrid models, intelligent manufacturing (Industry 4.0), AI in agriculture and simulations / physical models.
Applications are submitted in two stages. In the first stage, a project outline must be submitted by December 12, 2025 at the latest.
VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH in Germany and the National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan are responsible for processing the application.
