Energy Efficiency Award 2025 - Winners wanted!

Private and public companies can now apply for the Energy Efficiency Award 2025.

The award recognizes innovative projects and concepts that demonstrate how companies are successfully reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The focus is on innovative and effective approaches to implementing the energy transition that can be easily transferred to other companies. Companies can apply in four competition categories. In addition, a special prize worth 5,000 euros will be awarded for a small to medium-sized company 's commitment to climate protection.

The focus is on projects to save energy and reduce greenhouse gases, as well as concepts that demonstrate how the path to climate neutrality and the transformation of industry can succeed. Interested companies can submit their applications individually or jointly in these four categories:

• Think big! Complex energy transition projects
• From clever to digital! The spectrum of energy efficiency
• Achieving more together! Energy service providers as enablers of the energy transition
• Moving forward! Concepts for a climate-neutral future

All winners and nominees will receive a certificate and a label for their public relations work and
will be honored at the dena Energy Transition Congress on November 3, 2025 in Berlin
. The winners of the four categories will be portrayed in a film.

The award is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. Premium partner
and sponsor is KfW. The media partner is VDI energie + umwelt.

The closing date for applications is June 6, 2025.
