For many applications for the digitization of production and engineering, cross-company data exchange is necessary. To enable such data exchange in a secure and trustworthy manner, a large number of research projects and initiatives are currently working on the implementation of data rooms in the context of the European Gaia-X initiative. One of the largest German initiatives is the Catena-X Automotive Network (Catena-X for short), in which a data space for the entire automotive value chain is being developed.
To ensure that the solutions developed as part of Catena-X also meet the requirements of medium-sized companies, a Customer Panel was launched. Through the Customer Panel, interested companies have the opportunity to contribute their specific needs and requirements for cross-company data exchange in the developments of Catena-X. This is done, for example, through surveys, bilateral interviews, presentations and test events. Members of the Customer Panel can thus actively help shape Catena-X, contribute ideas and also gain in-depth insights into Catena-X developments. Participation in the Customer Panel should not take more than two hours per month for companies.
