Additive manufacturing is and will remain a trending technology. For example, the number of processes encompassed by the term additive manufacturing is growing. As a result, the picture of additive manufacturing related to specific industries, material classes and processes is becoming increasingly heterogeneous. For users and newcomers, it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain an overview and grasp the development of the technology as a whole. Therefore, in the following technical article "Additive Manufacturing - The Users' Perspective", published in the trade journal "Werkstoffe in der Fertigung" (WiF), we explain some overarching assessments and topics that concern users in the field of additive manufacturing.
