The Free State of Bavaria has set itself the goal of being climate-neutral by 2040. This challenge also affects the Bavarian cultural sector. The task now is to determine what concrete contribution the cultural sector can make and what measures are necessary to achieve the climate targets. There is also the question of obligations and a strategy for implementing sustainability, as well as funding programs and contact points.

bink - Bavaria's initiative for sustainable culture

Under the motto “Working together for a sustainable culture” in Bavaria, Bavaria's Initiative for Sustainable Culture (bink for short) supports state and non-state cultural institutions in Bavaria on their path to an environmentally friendly future. The competence center offers concrete support in achieving the climate neutrality goals that have been set. The focus is on taking sustainable measures and developing innovative concepts and strategies.

bink is an initiative of the Creative Industries Division of Bayern Innovativ GmbH and is implemented on behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.

bink is a clear commitment by Bavaria to sustainability in the cultural sector!

Minister of State for Science and the Arts
