On July 19, 2024, Tobias Gotthardt, State Secretary for Economic Affairs of the Free State of Bavaria, and Christian Volkmer, Vice President of the Regensburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, visited Innok Robotics in Regenstauf. As the Mechatronics and Automation Cluster, we had the opportunity to take a close look at the company and its innovative products. The discussions also focused on the importance of autonomous mobile robots for the regional economy and the need to create a regulatory framework to enable the use of this technology in public and semi-public spaces.
Current situation of autonomous vehicles and robotics in companies
Autonomous vehicles and robots are playing an increasingly important role in companies. While many technologies are still in the testing phase, initial applications are showing promising results. Autonomous vehicles offer considerable advantages, particularly in operational logistics, including increased efficiency, reduced error rates and improved safety.
