Innovation program for business models and pioneering solutions: 2nd funding call launched!

Following a successful pilot phase,the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) is launching the second call for funding in the Innovation Program for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions (IGP). Market-oriented, non-technical innovations from small and medium-sized enterprises are supported.

The 2nd call for funding ("2nd Call") addresses business models and pioneering solutions for better learning and working. These can be, for example: concepts for labor market integration or lifelong learning, tools and designs for the workplace/home office, gamification solutions for (pre-)school education and career guidance as well as innovations in the area of "New Work". The funded projects should contribute to innovative problem-solving. New technologies can also play a role in this. SMEs (including start-ups, the self-employed, social enterprises) and research institutions (including universities) cooperating with SMEs are eligible to apply.

Deadline

The best ideas will be selected in a multi-stage competition. First, the application for participation must be submitted by April 30, 2024, 3:00 p.m.

Outlook

There is expected to be a new call for funding in summer 2024. This will be aimed at the areas of health and care and will promote new designs and concepts for inclusion innovations, among other things. Further funding calls on changing future topics are planned.
