The Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft im Landkreis Cham mbH was founded in 1996 as "Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft des Landkreis Cham" and sees itself as a service provider for the economy and communities in the district of Cham. Since its foundation, Wiföges GmbH has accompanied 59 companies with a total of 271 employees on their way to independence.

Competence network mechatronics in Eastern Bavaria

In 2000, the network was founded with 8 members on the basis of a cooperation agreement. To date, more than 30 renowned, medium-sized industrial companies - from a wide variety of sectors - from all over eastern Bavaria have joined. Core topics are: Qualification of employees in the field of mechatronics, R & D and personnel recruiting. So far, more than 400 mechatronics engineers have been trained and more than 8,000 employees have received further training in technology topics. In addition, we are committed to competitiveness and raising the profile of traditional industrial sectors such as mechanical and electrical engineering by expanding the interdisciplinary technology focus on mechatronics. A milestone in the network's history is the technology campus for mechatronics in Cham with the following focal points: dual bachelor's and master's degree courses in the field of international mechatronics (Industry 4.0), contract development for companies, qualification of specialists and managers, partnership with the University of Pilsen, a school laboratory and advice and support on funding programs in the field of R & D.
