Dr. Michael Groß has been a licensed attorney since 1984. He is a member of the Licenses team at Fraunhofer IIS (Institute for Integrated Circuits) in Erlangen. Since February 2019, he has also been an Of Counsel at Müller Schupfner & Partner in Munich.

From 1988, he built up the licensing division for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. His extensive experience is based on more than 20,000 license agreements (patents, know-how, copyrights, trademarks) as well as research and development agreements, which he has drafted and reviewed.

One of his previous highlights was the licensing support for MP3 technology and subsequent technologies such as AAC.

He also has in-depth knowledge of conflict management. He acts as a mediator, arbitrator's expert, expert witness in and out of court and consultant.
