Profile

The Future Driveline Campus is a joint initiative of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and MAN Truck & Bus.

It is located on the MAN factory premises in Nuremberg. Scientists, students and developers work closely together on the campus to research innovative drive systems for heavy commercial vehicles. The focus is on sustainable solutions, in particular hydrogen-based and battery-electric technologies. State-of-the-art laboratories, test benches and analysis facilities are available for this purpose. The aim is to develop robust components and efficient systems that make an important contribution to climate-friendly mobility.

The cooperation between university, university and industry combines scientific excellence with practical application and promotes rapid technology transfer. The close proximity on the MAN site means that synergies are optimally utilized and new impetus for the mobility of the future is provided. The Future Driveline Campus thus stands for a close, forward-looking partnership between research and industry.
