Profile

As part of a project by the Chair of Socioinformatics at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt under the direction of Prof. Dr. Nicholas Müller, the knight's chapel in Haßfurt is being digitized using state-of-the-art methods.

Photogrammetric reconstruction is used to create a highly detailed 3D model of the chapel using photographic and drone images and optimized to such an extent that the finished model can be used in a wide variety of digital environments - for example on a smartphone, on a website or for virtual tours.

The FHWS team relies on the latest technology, software and high-performance equipment to achieve the most photorealistic results possible. Around 30,000 photos and around four hours of video recordings are used to create a three-dimensional image of the interior and exterior of the Ritterkapelle Haßfurt that is almost identical to reality.
