Research & Transfer

The Institute for Digital Production Management (IDPM) at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences conducts application-oriented research into the digital transformation of industrial value creation. The focus is on solutions in the areas of production planning and control, data-based decision-making and optimization processes, artificial intelligence, digital platforms and cross-company cooperation models.

The research projects are developed in close cooperation with industrial partners, particularly from medium-sized manufacturing companies. The aim is to further develop scientifically sound concepts in such a way that they can be directly transferred to industrial processes and effectively applied there.

Teaching & further education

At the IDPM, research and teaching are closely linked. Students are actively involved in projects, work on practical issues and at the same time benefit from current research findings that flow directly into teaching.

Free continuing education formats, networking events and topic-specific specialist dialogs are planned for 2026. The aim is to impart knowledge that contributes to the development and production of critical technologies, particularly in the areas of digital technologies and environmentally friendly and resource-efficient technologies.
