Bayerisches Zentrum für Batterietechnik

The Bavarian Center for Battery Technology bundles battery-specific expertise as a supra-regional competence center at the University of Bayreuth. Its central task is the interdisciplinary research and development of battery storage systems at the interfaces of materials science, electrochemistry, engineering, computer science and economics, as well as university teaching on the subject of battery storage systems.

The research focuses on safe high-performance materials, interfacial phenomena and transport processes, intelligent batteries, networked storage systems and sustainability across all scales of battery research.
