Contents & scope of the support
- Expenditure from the following cost groups can be funded:
- Personnel costs
Only technical or medical permanent staff are eligible for funding. Personnel expenses should outweigh other project-related expenses.
- Other operating expenses
Material and consumables that are directly attributable to the project.
- Expenditure on contract research and technical knowledge
Technical knowledge and property rights acquired directly or under license from third parties. Consulting or equivalent services can also be applied for here.
- Costs for instruments and equipment
Items that are capitalized and therefore also depreciated. This means that only a proportionate useful life of the project is eligible for funding.
- Travel costs
A maximum of 2% of personnel costs can be planned for travel for project personnel financed exclusively through the Medical Valley Award.
- Personnel costs
- Management consulting (e.g. strategy consulting, organizational consulting, business consulting, market analyses) and business coaching
- Fees and consulting fees in the context of securing property rights
- Expenses for ongoing sales and advertising
- Non-technology-related services
- Introduction of quality management systems
Application & project details
Outlines can only be submitted during an open funding call. Detailed information and exact details can be found in the respective current funding call under Downloads.
This is only possible in exceptional cases and only for a maximum of 6 months. The prerequisite for this is that the extension is conclusively justified in terms of subject matter and content. Each decision is made on a case-by-case basis. Extensions can only be granted on a cost-neutral basis. An application for an extension must be submitted within the implementation period.
Procedure & deadlines
- The recommendation for the start of the project can be found in the respective current call for funding. However, it is possible to discuss the start date individually with the Bavarian project management organization. Please note that the project may not be started without a notice of approval.
- The project must be started no later than 6 months after approval.
- The specific deadlines can be found in the grant notification or deadline sheet. The following deadlines must be observed:
- The start of the implementation period must be notified to the project sponsor Bavaria within 2 weeks.
- The project must be carried out within the approval period. Accordingly, only the services provided during the approval period are eligible for funding.
Duties & communication
- Project start date
- Spin-off as a company
- Changes in your project (e.g. change of address, insolvency application, changes in the shareholder structure, etc.)
- Subsequent changes to the project (e.g. changes in time and content compared to the project plan, changes to the amount of costs, etc.). Important: These must be applied for and approved in advance).
- Changes in content, changes in the cost structure, changes in the time schedule must be applied for in writing to the Bavarian project management organization.
- Please note that changes are only possible within the approval period specified in the grant notification.
- Please send your informal application with a comprehensible justification preferably by e-mail to kontakt(at)projekttraeger-bayern.de or submit it by post.
- In the event of an extension of the approval period, please also state the required extension period and a valid justification.
- In the event of a change in the cost structure, please indicate the amount of costs to be saved from a cost group and what these costs are to be used for instead.
- After your application has been reviewed, you will receive a written approval or rejection.
- Please note that you have not received funding from Bayern Innovativ GmbH, but from the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. It is therefore not permitted to use the word/figurative mark of Bayern Innovativ GmbH.
- The word/figurative mark of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy can be downloaded from the following website: www.stmwi.bayern.de/design where you will also find more detailed information on its use. Please note that the word/figurative mark is not only a logo, but also contains a national emblem in the form of the national coat of arms, the unlawful use of which constitutes an administrative offense.
