The submission of an outline is only necessary for an Innovation Voucher Special. It must first be activated by the Bavarian project management organization, please contact us. You submit the outline itself via the online application system. You can also upload all the necessary documents there.
If the online application is submitted without an ELSTER certificate, the following additional steps are necessary: After submitting your outline electronically, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail. This e-mail contains the PDF document "Outline of the Bavarian Innovation Voucher" with your file number as an attachment. Please print out the attachment, sign it and send the original document by post to the Bavarian project management organization within eight weeks. Only after a positive evaluation of the outline and request by the Bavarian project management organization is it possible to submit an application, as described below.
Request
You complete your application for the Innovation Voucher Standard and Special via the online application system. You can also upload all the necessary documents there.

Please note the following:
You may only start implementing the project you have applied for once you have received notification of funding by post. It is possible to start measures early in individual cases by submitting a separate application (see FAQ). Services provided before the approval date are not eligible for funding and cannot be invoiced.
Contracts and orders between companies and R&D service providers may not be concluded or placed before the decision on the application and approval.
Examination
The Bavarian project management organization will check the form and content of your application after receiving the original signed PDF document "Application for Innovation Voucher Bavaria" by post. Before a funding decision is made, a vote will be obtained from an independent person with the relevant technical expertise. Please note that incomplete or incorrect documents must be corrected and resubmitted, which will considerably delay the processing of your application.
Grant notification
In the event of a positive decision, you will receive a grant notification with an "Innovation Voucher" certificate by post from the Bavarian project management organization. Please note that all deadlines, notification obligations and conditions in the grant notification are binding. Non-compliance is detrimental to funding. If the funding decision is negative, you will receive a rejection notice by post.
Project implementation
The project must be started within 3 months of receipt of the grant notification. The start of the project must be reported to the Bavarian project management organization via the online application system. The project start date is the date on which the R&D service provider is commissioned.
You have 12 months to implement your project.
Changes during project implementation, such as an extension of the approval period, are possible in justified cases. The application must be submitted informally, e.g. by e-mail, to the Bavarian Project Management Agency. Approval must be awaited.

Where-used list
Proof of use must be submitted in writing (by post) to the Bavarian project management organization within 6 months of completion of the project. Documents submitted by e-mail cannot be accepted. The relevant forms can be found in the download area. Please note that incomplete or incorrect documents must be corrected and resubmitted, which will considerably delay the processing of your proof of use.
Payout
Once the proof of use has been checked, you will receive the grant by bank transfer to the account you have specified. You will then receive a final notification by post with a statement of the calculated result.
Please note that the approved funding rate will be checked again and, if necessary, corrected before the funding is paid out.
Please note that we do not make any payments to the R&D service provider. Under this funding program, you make advance payments and receive your grant in arrears once all requirements have been met.
