At the First TechHUB SVI Network Conference, decision-makers and experts from all relevant fields will discuss new developments, challenges and opportunities in the field of security and defense.

The Bundeswehr Planning Office as a central player in innovation management
Innovation management is intended to make a significant contribution to increasing and ensuring the innovative capability of the BMVg division. In an open and overarching approach, the focus is on developing strategic topics (fields) in the context of future development, investigating and testing innovative ideas in the form of innovation projects, further developing and operationalizing them, and handing over selected innovation projects to capability management.
Increasing the ability to act and perform and, above all, the time factor are of outstanding importance. In the end, innovations must result in capabilities that are required in the Bundeswehr's capability profile and are thus oriented to demand.
Innovation management promotes the culture of innovation to achieve an innovative mindset in the BMVg division that is characterized by creativity, "out-of-the-box" thinking and independent action in projects.
By networking internal/external, military and civilian innovation actors, innovation management promotes the formation of an innovation ecosystem.
The Bundeswehr Planning Office is a central actor in innovation management. In a coordinative approach, various innovation actors (internal/external) are brought together. The Planning Office is responsible for the fundamental coordination and control of innovation management in the Bundeswehr, the development of strategic, forward-looking topic areas and the inclusion of implementable innovation projects in the capability management task portfolio.
