Clouds beyond the Edge - 4th part of the webinar series

Join us for the fourth of four exclusive webinars organized as part of the focus group 5G.NRW Edge Computing focus group in collaboration with the Bavarian Thinknet 6G.

We are very pleased to welcome Dr. rer. nat. Valentina König as a keynote speaker at the next event.

Valentina König holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from RWTH Aachen University. Since 2021, she has been researching innovative technologies in industry at ModuleWorks (leading provider of CAD/CAM software libraries). As a research program manager, she explores the combination of VR, AI and QC with advanced manufacturing in collaboration with national and international research partners.

Title of the talk: "VITAMINE_5G: The VR boost for the production of tomorrow"

In the field of production technology, additive manufacturing technology is a relatively new and unconventional technology, having started out in the late 1980s. At the same time, it has been experiencing extreme growth for years and is increasingly being integrated into traditional process chains. At present, additive manufacturing is heavily reliant on experts and experience in the development of processes and applications, as it is not possible to draw on the same breadth of historical experience as with other technologies (e.g. machining). In the “VITAMINE_5G” project, a virtual environment was created in an interdisciplinary environment in virtual reality and the possibility of gaining insights into the processes in the field of additive manufacturing through comprehensive data and analysis integration was created.

The webinar will take place online and will last approximately one hour:
