The Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU) is targeting companies in Bavaria with a practical event: on January 27, 2026, the Infozentrum UmweltWirtschaft (IZU) is hosting a workshop on climate adaptation in Augsburg. The focus will be on a new tool to support companies in adapting to the consequences of climate change.

Participants will have the opportunity to individually test the final draft of the climate adaptation tool, provide feedback and discuss challenges and solutions with other companies. The aim is to further sharpen the practical applicability of the tool and provide companies with concrete assistance for greater climate resilience.

The event begins with a technical impulse on the basics, opportunities and challenges of climate adaptation in companies. Participants will then apply the new tool directly to their operational issues and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses in groups. The workshop concludes with a guided tour of the State Office for the Environment's outdoor facilities, which have been designed to be close to nature and where climate adaptation can be experienced using measures that have actually been implemented.

With this workshop, the LfU aims to support companies at an early stage in adapting to increasing weather extremes, heat waves and heavy rainfall events and to provide practical solutions.
