The new B³ Impuls lecture series is a free online format for specialists, researchers and anyone interested in battery technologies, e-mobility and energy storage.
The events will take place on the fourth Friday of each month from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and are designed to be held alongside work.
The series complements an existing qualification program and sees itself as a platform for knowledge transfer, networking and professional exchange. Experts from science and industry provide compact insights into current developments, innovations and challenges in the battery industry.
Compact impulses on key topics in battery technology
The program for spring and summer 2026 covers key future topics:
March 27, 2026 - PFAS in the battery context
The focus will be on the planned PFAS ban in the EU and developments towards PFAS-free battery cells. Speakers are Matthias Ruckdeschel (SKZ) and Dr. Jana Kumberg from Leclanché GmbH.
April 24, 2026 - DryCoating in electrode production
The event will shed light on modern electrode production and solvent-free production approaches. Experts from Fraunhofer IGCV and Maschinenfabrik Gustav Eirich will be present.
May 22, 2026 - Designing modern battery cells
This event will focus on cell architectures and passive battery cell components. Speakers come from Fraunhofer ISC and LEONHARD KURZ Stiftung & Co. KG, among others.
June 26, 2026 - Dismantling and processing of batteries
Recycling processes will be discussed, including the dismantling of battery modules and thermomechanical processing. Participating institutions include the University of Bayreuth and Umwelt- und Recyclingtechnik GmbH (URT).
July 24, 2026 - AI and battery
The final event before the summer break will be a presentation on the potential uses of artificial intelligence in battery applications.
Networking in the battery ecosystem
B³ Impuls brings together players from industry, research and development and creates low-threshold access to current specialist topics. In addition to technological issues, the focus is also on regulatory developments and scaling concepts.
Participation in the online series is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
