TEC is on a mission to democratize access to space: We strive to lower the entry threshold for research and business activities in space, making it accessible to as many interested parties as possible. We achieve this through open interfaces, sustainable mission design and significantly lower costs compared to current solutions. Nyx is divided into Nyx Earth for low earth orbit (LEO) missions and Nyx Moon for missions to and on the moon. Nyx Earth has a payload capacity of 4 tons into orbit and 2.6 tons back to Earth. In addition to a cargo compartment with atmospheric pressure and temperature control, there will also be an unpressurized service module in which payloads can be exposed to space conditions. Nyx will remain in Earth orbit for up to 6 months and can transport experiments and cargo to space stations and serve as a test laboratory for new technologies.

Reusable and modular spacecraft for Europe

The Exploration Company (TEC) designs, builds and operates Nyx, a family of reusable and modular spacecraft for use in low Earth orbit, the Moon and beyond. Nyx relies on a green propulsion system (non-toxic propellants) and will be refuelable in orbit in the medium term to increase sustainability and competitiveness.
