Dr. Rupert Tkotz is a physicist with a degree in plasma physics. He completed his doctorate at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1992. He developed a pulsed magnetic plasma lens for the CERN antiproton source.

Dr. Rupert Tkotz then worked for several years in contract research at the Bavarian Laser Center. The focus was on process control for processes in laser material processing.

Dr. Rupert Tkotz has been with Bayern Innovativ GmbH since 1995. His responsibilities included the areas of information and communication technology and electronics/microtechnology. He has been a member of the management board since 2017 and is responsible for the area of digitalization/IT.
