Dr. Gunther Pabst is a graduate chemist (Univ.) and received his PhD in 1999 from the University of Regensburg in the field of organic synthesis.

From 1999 to 2004, he worked at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, first in the Specialty and Process Chemicals department in Central Research, then in the Performance Chemicals division as a specialist in the development of hydrophobing and fatliquoring agents and as innovation manager for basic innovations.

In 2004, he moved to EBERHARD FABER GmbH as head of development and innovation management.

2008 he co-founded quer.kraft - der Innovationsverein e.V., of which he has been honorary chairman of the board since 2015.

After the integration of EBERHARD FABER GmbH into STAEDTLER Mars GmbH & Co. KG, he headed the Creative Systems development department in the Research& Development division from 2009.

When he moved to Bock 1 GmbH & Co. KG in 2016, he initially headed the newly established Innovation Management department. In 2017, he assumed overall responsibility for the newly created Innovation & Research division of the Bock Group worldwide.

Since 2022, Dr. Gunther Pabst has been working at Bayern Innovativ GmbH as Head of Transformation.
