beworm uses biocatalysts to develop a biotic/biocatalytic recycling process that decomposes the petroleum-based material polyethylene, the most widely used plastic in the world. Initial experiments were conducted with wax worms. The goal of beworm is to develop a scalable, efficient and resource-saving process with the help of enzymes at three different levels.
