Profile
The Spechtenhauser company was founded in 1962 by Paul Spechtenhauser in Munich as a specialist shop for pumps and lifting stations. In 1969, the company's own pumps, pumping stations and lifting units for the wastewater sector were produced for the first time at the new company headquarters in Buchloe in Ostallgäu. Over the years, Spechtenhauser Pumpen GmbH has gained a reputation as a specialist for customized complete solutions for the wastewater sector. At the end of the 1990s, the Spechtenhauser product range was expanded to include special mobile pumps for use in flood disasters, sewage treatment plants and other industrial areas. The mobile special pump "CHIEMSEE", one of the newly developed Spechtenhauser pumps, was awarded the title of "official lead project of the Competence Center Environment" in 1999, thus underlining Spechtenhauser's environmental competence. In 2002, the subsidiary " SHG Spechtenhauser Hochwasser- und Gewässerschutz GmbH" was founded for the development and distribution of the new mobile special pumps. In 2004, SHG GmbH was honored as one of the ten most innovative companies of the year in the "TOP 100 of Germany". Currently, Spechtenhauser employs 35 people and generated sales of € 5 million in the past fiscal year. All Spechtenhauser pumps are characterized by absolute resistance to clogging and extremely high reliability even in continuous operation.
