Information
With its innovative proprietary development Hybrid Tower System Max Bögl is successfully positioning itself in the wind energy sector. The new technology enables tower heights in which the most modern and powerful wind turbines in the world can fully exploit the wind potential. The Max Bögl group of companies is taking the energy turnaround one step further with the maxwind wind energy fund. As a general contractor responsible not only for the comprehensive planning and structural implementation of wind power plants, Max Bögl itself invests in wind turbines at several locations in southern Germany. As an attractive alternative to conventional investments, the maxwind wind energy fund offers people in the region the opportunity to actively participate in the energy turnaround.
Profile
With the development, planning and construction of a new generation of high-performance wind turbines, Max Bögl, as one of the leading precast manufacturers in Germany, is taking up the challenge posed by the energy turnaround with the expansion of renewable energies. In cooperation with its own steel and plant engineering department as well as its research and development department, the company group has been realizing hybrid wind power towers in combined prestressed concrete/steel construction since 2010, which ensure significantly higher efficiency and energy yield in inland areas. Today, Max Bögl Wind AG supplies different variants of the hybrid tower for hub heights between 123 and 143 m in series production to renowned wind turbine manufacturers.
Products
Less product and service portfolio In order to minimize interfaces between individual trades and construction phases, Max Bögl Wind AG üoffers additional services beyond the standard services of foundations, precast concrete towers and steel towers - up to the complete construction of individual wind turbines and turnkey construction of entire wind farms. These services include road construction, site preparation before and after tower assembly, excavation of the foundation pit including any necessary special foundations, laying of cabling, assembly of parts supplied by the customer, and much more. Max Bögl provides advice on the selection of suppliers of mechanical and electrical components as well as on the integration of local companies and on questions relating to transport, transport routes, fastening of surfaces, construction site equipment, enclosure and dewatering.

Technology
The impetus and motivation for the in-house development of tower structures for wind turbines in the multi-megawatt range came from the group's high level of expertise in the design and manufacture of high-precision precast concrete components. The precast concrete rings, which are erected in a purely assembly construction method, can be combined according to a modular construction system. The concrete rings are placed on top of each other in a "dry joint", without a mortar or other levelling layer. After installation of the so-called adapter piece as the upper end of the concrete tower, the external tendons, which are anchored in the adapter, are tensioned with the foundation basement. After this prestressing, the steel shaft is installed as the tower top, as well as the nacelle and the rotor blades.
