Technology

NEW  BATTERY-OPERATED AND PORTABLE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR NANOPARTS WITH PARTICLE SIZING (SMPS+C) . In the new Grimm 5,400 Ultrafine Particle Counter (UPC), 0.3 l/min or 1.5 l/min of outside air is drawn in via a volume flow-controlled pump, passed over an impactor that separates particles larger than 1 µm, and fed into a heated saturator with butanol vapor. The particles are then fed into a cooled condensation chamber where butanol vapor condenses on the particles, enlarging them so that the particles can now be counted in a laser measurement chamber using the scattered light method. In this method, particles from 4 nm to 1,000 nm can be counted as a whole. If one also wants to obtain a size distribution of this particle collective for the statement of the total number of ultrafine particles, the 5.400 UPC is coupled with a Grimm 5.500 classifier, which is connected upstream. This classifier contains an impactor, an optional  neutralizer (isotope source), and a voltage source that gradually directs only certain sizes from the total particle collective to the classifier outlet (DMA = Differential Mobility Analyzer) and into the 5,400 UPC, depending on the voltage.   NEW CARRIBLE MINI ENVIRONMENTAL FINE DIMENSION MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF PM-10, PM-2.5 AND PM-1 The suitability-tested GRIMM Model 1.107 "Environcheck" serves as a portable or stationary dust immission measuring system, which can be installed autonomously as a separate measuring system in environmental measurement or as a station measuring system in a measuring station. It was specially developed for continuous fine dust measurement of the immission values for PM-10, PM-2.5 and PM-1. The device indicates the airborne particles as dust mass in mg/m3. The resolution of the mass calculation is 1 mg/m3 at a sample volume of 72 l/h with built-in, volume flow regulated sampling pump. The total light-measured dust mass is collected on a PTFE filter (diameter 47 mm) for later gravimetric, microscopic or chemical analysis  . SmALLEST AEROSOL SPECTROMETER FOR QUALITY CONTROL AND WORKPLACE PROTECTION A new member of the proven 1.100 Series portable laser dust monitors, this Model 1.108 Aerosol Spectrometer is designed for use in work areas, ambient air and filter control. This measurement system can be used as a particle counter for higher concentrations of airborne particles or as a dust monitor. Also for quick on-site filter control, this meter can quickly determine filter efficiency in 15 channel sizes with one measurement before the filter (up-stream) and one measurement after the filter (down-stream)
