BARMER eCare (electronic patient share) forms the nucleus of future care for BARMER. It is the basis for strengthening patient responsibility and, with its functionalities, offers a central building block for increasing patient and drug therapy safety in cross-sector care or hybrid patient journeys. This is where the BARMER Teledoctor comes in with existing scenarios to enable low-threshold care in underserved regions. We outline thoughts and ideas on how data-supported identification of individual health risks can be incorporated into this portfolio in order to enable even more responsible management of one's own health in the future and to be supported by one's own health insurance company in this context.
This insight will be presented by the two speakers:
- Theresa Schneeberger is a psychologist (M.Sc.) and works as a product owner for eCare - BARMER's electronic patient record (ePA). Her focus is on the care-relevant features, as eCare is to be the central starting point for digital care in the future.
- Florian Forstnig is a health manager (B.A.) and part of the digital care team at BARMER. He is Product Owner for the "BARMER Teledoktor" product with a focus on customer-centric design for low-threshold access to modern and location-independent care services.
Both work in a cross-functional team in which, among other things, the electronic patient file and other digital care products are developed.
