An Austrian company has developed a disruptive digital inspection platform for infrastructure. They are looking for drone operators with expertise in capturing high-resolution image data
Details:
The Vienna-based company is a spin-off of an Austrian company that manufactures innovative cranes and work platforms. It was founded in 2019 to further develop a completely new concept for digital inspection of infrastructure through the use of image-based technologies using red-green-blue (RGB) and/or multispectral imaging. Now, the company has laid the foundation for a new solution by developing a web app platform for digital inspection of infrastructure. High-quality image data captured by UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) is the basis for complete and reliable digital inspection. The image data is used to generate a 3D model for visualization, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and georeferencing of damage in 3D, as well as automatic damage detection through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). End users of the solution are engineering firms and asset owners such as public and private rail and highway operators. Advantages of the newly developed concept are reduction of personnel costs, reduction of accident risk for climbers, complete mapping of hard-to-reach areas, and increase of image data quality.
Wanted partners:
They are looking for drone operators with expertise in capturing high-resolution image data using UAVs. Expertise in the fields of civil engineering and photogrammetry are an advantage. Research institutions or companies of any size are sought as partners for a service agreement or a technical cooperation agreement.
