Who can submit an application?
Bavarian state universities in Bavaria. Submission takes place via the technology transfer offices or the technology transfer officers.
How can one apply for funding?
The implementation of the funding measure takes place via corresponding funding calls, if necessary with a thematic focus.
What requirements must be met?
Projects can be considered that
- go beyond the state of the art
- have clear unique selling points
- have sufficient connectivity (positive continuation prognosis)
Not supported are projects that
- were already started before the decision on the application of the university
- be carried out on behalf and for the account of third parties
For the validation program applies:
- The protection of the invention or the research results must be of the research results must be clarified in principle
- The property right holder must be the eligible applicant
- The supported research activities must not indirectly benefit persons who have already founded a company to market the invention that is to be validated
- The project must be assigned to the non-economic part of the university
How is funding provided?
- To cover up to 100% of personnel and material expenses, travel costs and, in justified exceptional cases, external services
- max. € 300,000 per project
- Project duration of up to 18 months
