High energy density, fewer chips: The battery manufacturer wants to meet the increased demand with new power storage devices.
80% fewer chips are needed by the new power storage series, which the Wittenberg battery manufacturer Tesvolt wants to present at the Munich trade fair Smarter E 2022. The memories could be manufactured so in high number of pieces, which is in view of the clearly risen demand for Gewerbespeichern of large importance.
In comparison to the A-series of the manufacturer the building method was optimized, so that the memories of the E-series are more economical. Almost 70% more energy could store the new batteries, it said in a statement of the company. The latest lithium-ion cell generation from Samsum SDI is also being used here for the first time. The capacity of the new power storage solutions ranged from 70 kWh to several MWh, and the overall system efficiency of more than 90% was significantly higher than that of conventional power storage systems on the market.
