Digital maturity put to the test

Messebau Wörnlein has been a professional for creative exhibition stand construction, joint stands at trade fairs and rental furniture in Nuremberg for over 70 years. The company realizes individual trade fair appearances so that companies can successfully achieve their trade fair goals and present their brand profile. For Messebau Wörnlein, the focus is primarily on digital process innovations in the area of "service offerings for customers ". With this in mind, the company went through a Digital Innovation Quotient (DIQ) assessment. This quickly and effectively identifies strengths and optimization potential in the areas of "digital innovation strategy," "digital business models," "digital processes," "digital ecosystem" and "IT support. Small and medium-sized companies receive a comprehensive assessment of their level of digital maturity and the extent to which digitization is already contributing to the company's success. The DIQ assessment showed that Messebau Wörnlein is on the right track and  motivated employees to continue to consistently pursue the goals set. As a direct measure from the assessment, the company has introduced new communication software, which has significantly improved virtual communication between the two company locations. In the coming months, the company will continue to expand digital (social media) marketing and increasingly address the issue of data collection and analysis in customer service.

 The assessment and the discussions gave us new impetus and showed us what is still possible for a medium-sized craft business in the area of digitization. The questions encourage us to think about the company, our own behavior and how we deal with innovation projects. We are all very enthusiastic and would participate again at any time.
